High School Course Selection
While most students do not know where they want their road to end, they should prepare for any contingency. For this reason, I believe that discussing a four-year academic plan is extremely important. This helps to ensure that students are choosing courses that are the right fit for them and relevant to what they believe their career path will be.
Application/Essay Assistance
The application process can be exciting, overwhelming, confusing, complicated, and rewarding. I guide students throughout the process to be sure they are aware of what each school needs with regard to applications, essays, self-reported grades, self-reported test scores, and more.
Researching and Creating a College List
The most important aspect of the college selection process is finding the right fit - finding a school that is most appropriate for the student in terms of interests, abilities, attitudes, personality, career goals, and financial fit.
Information on Financial Aid and Scholarships
Finding the right fit college is not just about finding an academic and social fit, it is also about finding a financial fit. I will provide you with some tools to help sort through determining the total cost of attendance, how to use the Net Price Calculator, how to determine how much Federal Student Aid you will qualify for, and how to search for scholarships to offset your out of pocket costs.
